Inspired by the measurement of water depth, Fathom truly takes us to the depths of the ocean. Imagine the smell of how the deepest, darkest part of the ocean would feel. Cold, green, wet, earthy, salty - this scent is a deep dive into the sea - eternally changing, intense and alluring, calm and wild.
Fathom V is an ode to the sea. A fragrance of contrasts, this is not a linear scent, Beaufort London attemps to create duality. The eternally changing state of the sea ‚Äì in constant flux between calm and wild ‚Äì is our departure point here, explored though the use of seemingly contradictory raw materials in ‚Äòoverdosed‚Äô concentrations: salt meets earth, sparkling herbals blend with dark mosses, bright floral notes meet intense dark spices and pepper. By contrasting these notes Beaufort creates light and shade, imagining the shifting state of the sea: its intensity ‚Äì the allure of its dark depths.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Beaufort London is an incredibly unique English perfume house created by musician and writer Leo Crabtree. Inspired by Crabtree's lifelong love of fragrance mixed with his fascination with the darker elements of British history, Beaufort London's first collection of intense, and bold perfumes is titled "Come Hell or High Water". Coming from a family history of seamen, Crabtree also references the sea throughout this collection. "The sea, its traditions, superstitions and way of life are ingrained in me. The brand's name Beaufort London (derived from the 1805 wind force scale conjured up by Naval Officer Sir Francis Beaufort) represents a kind of framework within which we can understand ourselves. The wind in consistent, enduring, but ultimately changeable and potentially destructive."
