It is to this original breath that perfume owes its name: Atmah, inspired by the Sanskrit Atman, a founding term that designates the vital principle, the intimate essence of each being. In Indian traditions, it expresses the link between the individual and the universal, a primordial breath that crosses time. An evocation of energy and inner light. "For me, Atmah is the elegance of the soul, what elevates it with grace," says Olivia de Rothschild. The name also echoes a family history. In 1898, Baron Edmond de Rothschild, Olivia's great-great-grandfather, acquired a cruising yacht named Atmah. An emblem of sea trips and shared moments, it embodied a spirit of freedom for the family, the echo of which is prolonged today by this fragrance.
