BeauFort London Terror & Magnificence Eau de Parfum is a brooding architectural composition inspired by the visionary and unsettling works of Georgian architect Nicholas Hawksmoor. Like his monumental churches—often linked to mystery, symbolism, and echoes of Ancient Egypt—this fragrance balances darkness with grandeur, chaos with structure, and reverence with unease.

Built as an olfactory architecture of contrast, it evokes sacred spaces, weathered stone, and ritual smoke suspended in time.

The fragrance opens with an arresting trio of saffron, black pepper, and birch tar, creating a sharp, smoky intensity that feels both ceremonial and foreboding. Almost immediately, the atmosphere recalls stepping into an ancient, candlelit church filled with incense and heat.

At the heart, the composition deepens into a dense, resinous core. Incense, tobacco absolute, and kyphi (an ancient Egyptian ritual blend) combine with waxy, smoky undertones to create a sacred yet slightly unsettling warmth—like burning candles, dark wood, and ritual smoke blending into stone walls.

The base settles into a mineral, contemplative foundation of myrrh resin, benzoin, labdanum, vetiver, and a distinctive wet stone accord. This creates the sensation of rain hitting cold stone after heat, leaving behind damp earth, sacred resin, and lingering smoke.
